Florence is also well-known as the "Cradle of the Renaissance." Its works of architecture and its sumptuous noble palaces, even the less famous, have contributed to render Florence
and its urban aspect, unique and unparalleled. For this reason, the
"cradle of the Renaissance", the new home of the artistic
taste that soon conquered the
whole world, is considered one of the most culturally important cities of the
world, so that the historical center of Florence has been declared "world
Heritage" by UNESCO.
This means that the city is rich
in historic monuments and buildings that absolutely must be preserved so that future
generations could admire them freely, and be enchanted just as happens to
Florentines and visitors now.
